Hot off the press is the Legislative Fiscal Bureau's analysis of how the Governor's proposed budget's substantial cuts in general school aids will hypothetically impact each of the school districts in the state. Open it up and scroll down to the spread sheet to see the magnitude of projected cuts for your district.
If you are a school board member in Drummond, Gibralter, Mercer, Norris or Richfield, you didn't get much before, but what you got is really being axed. Milwaukee would hypothetically have a loss of about $47,000,000 in the next year, spread over 82,444 students or $570 per kid, and Madison a little over $5,000,000, spread over 24,471 students or $204 per kid.
(Thanks to my brother-in-law Jack from Eau Claire for forwarding me the analysis.)
